South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) Innovative Good Practices publication comprises innovative good practices implemented in 2024 across the Global South, aiming to showcase initiatives, approaches and solutions that can be shared with and adapted by other countries of the Global South.

With rapid urbanization and increasing climate-induced shocks such as droughts, floods, and El Niño/La Niña events, the Regional Preparedness Initiative led by WFP in Southern Africa addresses the growing climate and food security crises affecting millions in the region. The initiative focuses on strengthening urban preparedness systems across five countries: Madagascar, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

The South-South Quarterly Newsletter offers updates on WFP’s South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) initiatives at global, regional, and local levels, highlighting key projects, partnerships, and solutions.

On a yearly basis, the SSTC Unit shares insights into progress made under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (MARA)-WFP Global SSTC initiative. This report provides an overview of the 2023-2024 achievements of WFP’s efforts to promote SSTC with support from MARA.
